/ Our Approach

Growing HVAC brands with Performance Marketing since 2017.

HVAC paid media fails in a predictable way. A contractor turns on a single Google Ads campaign in April when the phone is already ringing, pays peak-season click prices for breakdown searches, gets a run of one-time repair jobs at a cost per lead that barely works, and switches it off in September. That is not a channel, it is a panic button. Run properly, HVAC paid media is three distinct campaign sets with three different economics: emergency and repair intent where speed of response decides everything, annual maintenance contract acquisition where a single conversion is worth years of revenue, and commercial project enquiry where the click is expensive and the order value justifies it many times over.

AMC Acquisition Treated As The Priority Campaign

An annual maintenance contract is recurring multi-year revenue with a service relationship attached, and it is the only HVAC lead type where a high cost per acquisition is comfortably justified. Most contractors spend their entire budget on repair clicks and run no AMC campaign at all. We build it as a first-class campaign with its own creative, its own landing page and its own acceptable acquisition cost.

Emergency Intent Judged On Answered Calls

Breakdown search converts within minutes and dies if the phone rings out. These campaigns run call-only and call extension formats, tightly geofenced to genuine dispatch radius, scheduled against the hours you can actually respond, and measured on answered calls and booked jobs rather than on form fills. We would rather pause an ad slot than pay for a call nobody picks up.

Commercial And Residential Never Share A Campaign

A facility head researching a chiller AMC and a homeowner whose split unit stopped cooling need different keywords, different budgets, different landing pages and different conversion definitions. Blended into one account the residential volume swamps the commercial spend and the reporting hides which one is actually paying. We separate them at account level.

Budget Mapped To The Demand Curve

Click prices and search volume both spike from March through June and again in humid monsoon weeks. We plan the annual budget against that curve deliberately: aggressive on repair during peak, heavier on AMC in the shoulder months when acquisition is cheaper and a contract signed in October covers the whole coming summer, and steady on commercial year round because project cycles ignore the weather.

Brand And Capacity Targeting Where Dealers Have An Edge

If you are an authorised dealer or service partner, brand plus city, brand plus fault, and tonnage or capacity searches are inventory you can compete for credibly and manufacturers rarely bid on locally. We build those as their own ad groups with landing pages that prove authorisation, because a buyer searching a brand name wants to know you are legitimate before they want a price.

Reported In Jobs And Contracts, Not Clicks

Monthly reporting shows cost per booked job split by residential repair, AMC signed and commercial enquiry, with call recordings sampled to check lead quality. Cost per lead read across a blended account is the number that hides an HVAC campaign quietly losing money on unqualified repair calls.

How We Work

Our Proven Process

01

Capacity And Coverage Audit

We establish how many jobs a day you can dispatch, which pin codes you genuinely reach, and who answers the phone during peak hours, because spending on breakdown clicks you cannot service is the fastest way to lose money in this category.

02

Split The Account By Lead Type

Separate campaign structures for emergency repair, installation, AMC acquisition and commercial project enquiry, each with its own budget, its own conversion definition and its own acceptable acquisition cost.

03

Build The AMC Funnel

Dedicated campaign and landing page for annual maintenance contracts covering visit frequency, coverage scope, response commitments and pricing structure, plus a retargeting audience built from every past repair customer who has not yet signed one.

04

Emergency Campaign Configuration

Call-only and call extension formats, tight geofencing to real dispatch radius, dayparting against staffed hours, and call tracking so answered rate and booked job rate become the metrics rather than click volume.

05

Commercial Enquiry Layer

Search campaigns against system, capacity and building type terms with a quote-request page carrying installed base evidence and technical specification, and a LinkedIn layer targeting facility and project titles where order values justify the cost per click.

06

Seasonal Budget Reforecast

Quarterly rebalancing against the demand curve, moving weight onto AMC and commercial in the shoulder and off-season months and onto repair and installation before and during the peak, so the annual budget is not exhausted in May.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know about Performance Marketing for HVAC brands

When should an HVAC contractor start advertising for summer?

Campaigns should be live and optimised by February, well before the demand curve turns. Starting in April means paying peak click prices while the account is still in its learning phase, which is the most expensive possible combination and the single most common mistake we see in this category. A campaign that has been running through February and March has established conversion data, refined negatives and a stable quality score by the time volume arrives, which materially lowers what you pay per booked job during the months that matter most.

Should we advertise at all in the off season?

Yes, but on AMC and commercial rather than on repair, and at a much lower budget. Repair demand genuinely collapses outside the summer and humidity windows and no amount of spend invents searches that are not happening. What does work in those months is annual maintenance contract acquisition, where acquisition costs are lower because competitors have switched off and a contract signed in October covers the whole coming summer, and commercial project enquiry, which follows capital expenditure cycles rather than the weather. Turning everything off in September wastes the cheapest part of the year.

Is Meta worth running for an HVAC business?

Partly, and not for emergency repair. Someone whose air conditioner has failed goes to Google or the map, not to a social feed, so Meta budget aimed at breakdown intent generally underperforms search badly. Where Meta does earn its place is AMC acquisition through retargeting your past customer list before the season starts, installation and replacement offers to households in the right localities, and building recognition ahead of the peak. For commercial project enquiry, search and LinkedIn are the better allocation and we will tell you so rather than spreading budget for the sake of it.

What is a realistic cost per lead for AC repair?

It varies enough by city and season that any single figure quoted on a webpage would be misleading, so we will not publish one. What we can tell you is which variables actually move it: how many contractors are bidding in your specific city, whether you are inside or outside the March to June peak, how tightly the campaign is geofenced, and above all your call answer rate, which frequently causes more waste than bidding does. We benchmark against your own account within the first six weeks and report cost per booked job rather than cost per click.

Have you run ads for HVAC or technical service businesses?

We have worked with multiple brands in this category and in adjacent technical equipment and service businesses since 2017 and can share specific names and numbers on request. Across the agency we have managed ₹50Cr+ in ad spend since 2017 as a Google and Meta partner. The closest structural analogue in our published work is our B2B industrial experience, where a technical buyer evaluates capability before price, and we would rather walk you through those accounts on a call than attach an invented HVAC number to this page.

Why does our repair campaign get so many time-wasting calls?

Usually because the campaign is geographically too loose and the keyword set is too broad. Terms like AC service and AC price attract price shoppers, tenants who cannot authorise the work, and callers outside your dispatch radius, and broad match compounds it by matching queries about spare parts, second-hand units and manufacturer warranties. The fixes are tightening geofencing to real service pin codes, aggressive negative keyword work driven by the search terms report, stating a minimum service charge in the ad, and using call recordings to identify exactly which queries produce the wasted calls.

Can paid ads win commercial HVAC projects?

They can generate the enquiry and the site survey, but they will not close a project and no honest campaign is measured that way. Commercial HVAC buying runs through consultants, tenders, technical evaluation and relationships over a cycle of months, so the realistic goal is being on the shortlist when a facility head or project consultant searches for a VRF supplier or a chiller AMC provider. Clicks cost more than residential ones and volume is low, but a single project can justify a year of spend. We measure these campaigns on qualified enquiries and site surveys booked.

Should we bid on manufacturer brand names?

Yes if you are genuinely authorised, and carefully if you are not. Brand plus city, brand plus fault and brand plus model service queries are valuable inventory that manufacturers rarely defend at local level, and an authorised dealer or service partner can compete there credibly provided the landing page proves the authorisation. If you are not authorised, bidding on a brand name risks trademark complaints and misleads the caller, which produces disputes rather than jobs. We check your authorisation status before building those ad groups and structure the copy so it does not imply a relationship you do not have.
