/ Our Approach

Growing B2B Manufacturing brands with App Development since 2017.

B2B mfg mobile apps typically serve three use cases: distributor/dealer portals (catalog, ordering, credit management), field-sales force apps (lead capture, quote generation, order placement), and IoT/production monitoring where relevant. We build in React Native with ERP integration, offline-capable architecture for field users, and biometric authentication. The test we apply before building anything is whether the app removes a phone call or a paper form that currently costs someone real time every day. Distributor ordering that today runs through WhatsApp messages retyped into an ERP by a coordinator is a strong case. An app built so the company can say it has one is not, and we will say so during scoping rather than after the invoice.

B2B mfg app archetypes: distributor apps (product catalog, order placement, credit tracking, sales analytics), field-sales apps (GPS-tagged visits, lead capture, quote gen, digital signatures, offline mode), production apps (IoT dashboards, machine logs, maintenance scheduling). Stack: React Native + backend API + ERP integration. Offline-first architecture mandatory for field users - patchy connectivity in industrial zones is normal. The failure mode in this category is adoption rather than engineering, because a distributor who has ordered by phone for fifteen years has no obligation to change and will revert the first time the app is slower than calling. That pushes design toward ruthless simplicity on the reorder path, tolerance for older low-end Android devices, and a rollout that starts with a handful of willing dealers before going wide. Credit visibility is often the feature that actually drives adoption, since a dealer who can see their outstanding balance and available limit before ordering has a reason to open the app that a catalogue alone never provides.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know about App Development for B2B Manufacturing brands

React Native or native?

React Native for most B2B mfg - shared code, faster iteration. Native only for deep IoT integration.

ERP integration complexity?

Depends. Zoho, HubSpot, Pipedrive straightforward. SAP custom often 8-16 weeks.

Offline-first mandatory?

For field-sales apps, yes. Distributor apps usually online-first with fallback.

Can we integrate with our existing website?

Yes - shared backend API, shared authentication, shared data model.

Our distributors order over WhatsApp. Will they switch to an app?

Only if ordering through it is genuinely faster than sending a message, and that is a design problem you have to win rather than a training problem you can announce. A dealer placing a repeat order wants their previous order visible, editable and submittable in a few taps, not a catalogue to browse from scratch. The features that move behaviour in our experience are reorder from history, live credit and outstanding balance, order status without phoning the office, and scheme or discount visibility. We recommend piloting with five or ten dealers who are willing to give feedback before rolling out to the full network, and keeping WhatsApp open during transition rather than forcing a cutover.

What devices do we need to support for field staff and dealers?

Older and cheaper Android devices than your team probably assumes, and designing for anything else guarantees complaints after launch. Field sales staff and small-town dealers commonly run mid-range or entry-level phones several years old, with limited storage and unreliable data, so we target that hardware from the start rather than optimising after the fact. Practically this means keeping the install size modest, avoiding heavy animation, caching catalogue data locally, and testing on real low-end handsets rather than simulators. iOS support matters mainly for senior management and is usually a smaller share of the user base in Indian industrial distribution.

How do you handle two people editing the same order offline?

With explicit conflict rules agreed before we build, because silent automatic merging is how offline systems lose orders and trust. The pattern we use for most manufacturing cases is that each order carries a version and a last-writer timestamp, the server rejects a stale update rather than overwriting it, and the app surfaces the conflict to the user with both versions visible so a human decides. For stock-sensitive operations we also treat availability as provisional until the server confirms, so a field rep who books quantity offline sees a clear confirmation or shortfall on sync instead of discovering the problem at dispatch.

Can the app show live machine or production data?

Yes where the machines already expose data, and that qualifier does most of the work. If your plant runs a SCADA or MES layer, or machines with OPC UA or Modbus output feeding a historian, we can surface dashboards, alerts and maintenance logs in a mobile app against that source. If the machines are not instrumented, the real project is industrial data collection with an automation partner and the app is a small last step rather than the solution. We are honest about that boundary because we build software, and we would rather scope the app around data that exists than promise visibility into machines that are not reporting anything.
