Shalmali Parkar is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Baclinc. She co-founded the agency in December 2017 at the age of 17 alongside Abhishek Yadav — making Baclinc one of the more improbable agency launch stories in the Indian digital marketing space. Most 17-year-olds don't sign an office lease; Shalmali did.

At Baclinc, Shalmali leads creative direction, brand strategy, and the content and design teams. She's the reason Baclinc's creative work feels considered rather than templated — from the art direction on the site itself to the campaign-level creative that ships for clients. In a market where most agencies treat creative as decoration on top of media buying, Shalmali treats it as the engine, and the work the agency is best known for reflects that.

Her particular focus is on brand-led content and creative strategy, especially for D2C clients where the brand voice matters as much as the paid media spend. The Marathi-first content play that drove Algomage to 10 million+ organic reach came out of her insistence that the team challenge the "English-first" default that most Indian agencies never question. The kind of short-form content strategy that took Sabchalo to millions of organic views sits in the same lineage.

Shalmali remains founder-led on strategy for Baclinc's accounts, reviewing creative personally rather than delegating to junior staff. She speaks English, Hindi, and Marathi, and is based at Baclinc's Powai, Mumbai office.
