/ Our Approach

Growing Consulting brands with Performance Marketing since 2017.

Paid media for a consulting firm is a strange discipline, because the thing you are selling cannot be bought from an advertisement. Nobody sees a LinkedIn ad and appoints a firm for a transformation programme worth crores. What paid media can do is get your thinking in front of a named set of accounts repeatedly during the months a committee is forming a view, and pull the small number who are actively scoping into a conversation. That requires abandoning most of what performance marketing normally optimises for. Lead volume is actively misleading here, cost per download is a distraction, and a campaign that produces forty ebook forms from students and job seekers has cost you money and told you nothing.

Target Account Lists, Not Broad Interest Targeting

Consulting demand is concentrated in a knowable set of companies, and you usually know which ones. We build campaigns against named account lists uploaded to LinkedIn and Google, layered with the job functions that sit on the buying committee, so spend lands on the two hundred organisations that could actually appoint you rather than on everyone with a director title in the country.

Committee Roles Get Separate Campaigns And Separate Creative

The economic buyer, the technical evaluator and the procurement gate respond to entirely different arguments, and putting them in one campaign means the messaging serves none of them. We split by function, run outcome and risk framing at the executive, method and technical specifics at the evaluator, and engagement model and commercial structure where procurement is involved.

Partner Expertise As The Ad Unit

The creative that works in this category is a named partner making a specific, arguable point, not a firm logo over a stock boardroom. We build ads around the individual and the point of view, use thought leadership formats that carry substance rather than a slogan, and accept a lower click volume in exchange for clicks from people who came for the argument.

Lead Definitions Agreed Before Launch

We define what counts as a qualified enquiry with you in writing before a campaign goes live: account size, sector fit, role seniority and problem relevance. Then only those get optimised toward and reported. Without it, the platform will happily find you the cheapest form fills in the market, which in professional services means students, job applicants and competitors downloading your material.

Retargeting Weighted Heavily Because The Cycle Is Long

A committee reads your material across months before anyone raises a hand, which makes retargeting the highest-value part of a consulting account rather than an afterthought. We build sequenced retargeting against content consumption depth, keep a much larger share of budget there than a typical account would, and treat repeated exposure across a research window as the actual mechanism rather than a click.

Reported On Scoping Conversations And Pipeline Influence

For a firm signing a small number of large retainers, cost per lead is close to meaningless and cost per acquisition is unmeasurable within a reporting quarter. We report cost per qualified scoping conversation, account penetration within the target list, and which accounts increased engagement over time, while being straightforward that some of the effect will never be cleanly attributable.

How We Work

Our Proven Process

01

Target Account And Practice Mapping

We build the named account list with you, sector by sector and size band by size band, and tie each practice to the accounts and committee functions where its demand actually sits.

02

Qualification Criteria Agreement

Account size, sector fit, role seniority and problem relevance defined in writing before launch, so both the optimisation signal and the reporting measure the same thing.

03

Channel And Budget Allocation

LinkedIn weighted for account and function reach, Google Search reserved for genuinely in-market regulation and implementation queries, with a deliberately large share held for retargeting.

04

Partner-Led Creative Production

Ads built around a named partner and a specific argument, in formats that carry substance, with enough variants to sustain frequency against a small audience without fatiguing it.

05

Sequenced Retargeting Build

Audiences segmented by content consumption depth, with message sequencing that moves from point of view to method to engagement model as an account reads further.

06

Monthly Account Penetration Review

Reach and engagement within the target list, cost per qualified scoping conversation, and which named accounts increased consumption, with budget shifted toward the accounts showing movement.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know about Performance Marketing for Consulting brands

Can paid ads actually generate consulting mandates?

Not directly, and any agency claiming otherwise is describing a different business. Nobody appoints a firm for a mandate worth crores off an advertisement. What paid media does is place your thinking in front of a named set of accounts repeatedly during the research window, and capture the small number who are actively scoping right now. The realistic output is qualified scoping conversations and measurable engagement inside target accounts, with the mandate itself closing through a call, a proposal and a meeting that the ad account will never see.

Why is LinkedIn so expensive for consulting firms?

LinkedIn costs are high because you are bidding for the attention of senior decision-makers, and every B2B advertiser in the market wants the same people. Costs per click in the range of a few hundred rupees are normal for CXO and director targeting in India, which looks indefensible against consumer benchmarks and is entirely reasonable when a single mandate is worth crores. The question is not whether the click is expensive but whether the account is right. A firm reaching two hundred correctly chosen organisations at a high click cost is spending better than one reaching fifty thousand irrelevant professionals cheaply.

Should we gate our content behind a lead form in ads?

Sparingly, and less than most firms do. Gating converts a portion of readers into contacts, but it also stops the content being read by the committee members who will never fill a form and stops it being cited by AI assistants during shortlisting. Our usual pattern is running paid traffic to ungated substance, retargeting readers by consumption depth, and holding forms back for the rare asset that warrants one, typically benchmarking datasets or a working diagnostic. The firms that gate everything typically report good lead numbers and poor conversation quality.

Have you run paid media for consulting firms before?

We have worked with several firms in this category since 2017, and we can share specific names and numbers on request. We have not published a consulting case study, largely because firms in professional services would rather their marketing partners went uncredited. The paid work we can show sits in neighbouring long-cycle B2B markets such as SaaS, BFSI and B2B manufacturing, in which committee behaviour and the measurement obstacles line up almost precisely, and our team has managed ₹50Cr+ in ad spend since 2017.

What budget does a consulting firm need to start?

Roughly two to three lakhs a month is the practical floor for LinkedIn account-based work, because below that you cannot maintain enough frequency against your target accounts to matter. This is a category where spreading a small budget thin is worse than not running at all, since a committee that sees you twice over six months has effectively not seen you. If the available budget is under that, we would recommend putting it into partner-led organic publishing and search first, and adding paid once there is content worth amplifying.

How do you measure paid media when the sales cycle is nine months?

By measuring account engagement rather than conversions, and being honest about the limits. We track reach and consumption depth within the named target list, movement of specific accounts from light to heavy engagement, cost per qualified scoping conversation, and self-reported source on enquiry forms. What we do not do is present a cost per acquisition for a retainer that closed nine months and six touchpoints after the click, because the number would be constructed rather than measured. Some of the effect will remain permanently unattributable.

Do consulting firms need Google Ads as well as LinkedIn?

Only for a narrow band of queries, but that band converts unusually well. The terms worth buying are the ones with a deadline behind them: a new regulation, a filing requirement, a certification, a specific system migration. Somebody searching those is dealing with a problem now rather than researching in general, and the intent justifies the cost. Broad terms such as management consulting firm in India are largely researchers, students and directory traffic, and we would not spend your budget there. Google is a supporting channel here, not the main one.

Can you target specific companies we want to work with?

Yes, and it is the single most useful capability in this category. LinkedIn accepts uploaded lists of company names or domains and lets you layer job function and seniority on top, so spend reaches the finance leadership at forty named manufacturing companies rather than everyone with a finance title. Google offers a weaker version through customer match and audience signals. The main limitation is scale: very small account lists can fall below platform minimums or fatigue quickly, so a list of at least a few hundred organisations usually works better than a list of twenty.
