A wedding planner does not need traffic. A planner needs eleven or twelve serious enquiries a year at the right budget tier, because that is what a full calendar looks like when a single mandate runs into lakhs. The problem is that the searches those families run are held by WedMeGood, WeddingWire and ShaadiSaga, who monetise your category by charging you to appear in it. You will not beat a directory at directory scale. You beat it on the queries a directory covers badly: the specific venue, the specific destination, the specific format, and the planning questions no listing page bothers to answer properly. That is the programme we run, and it is aimed at the enquiry form rather than at a rankings chart.
Wedding search in India separates into four intent layers that behave nothing alike. Venue-specific queries, a named palace, resort or farmhouse plus 'wedding planner', are the highest converting terms in the category and usually the least contested, because directories publish one thin page per venue and planners publish none at all. Destination queries such as Udaipur, Jaipur, Goa, Alibaug and Jim Corbett carry real volume and sit in a genuine fight with the directories, typically a six to twelve month climb. Format queries such as intimate wedding, sangeet production, court marriage reception and NRI wedding planning are badly underserved and worth taking early. City-level head terms are directory territory and we do not present them as a near-term outcome. Layered across all four is a research cycle measured in seasons rather than sessions, and a decision made by a family group rather than one person, which is why the site needs research-stage content as well as a portfolio that survives being shown on a phone at a dinner table. The technical layer is its own problem. Planner sites are image-heavy by nature and most ship enormous uncompressed galleries, JavaScript lightboxes that hide content from the crawler, and enquiry forms that load last. We fix rendering and Core Web Vitals before writing a word, because a beautiful site nobody can crawl is invisible in exactly the way an ugly one is. We work from Powai, Mumbai, which is a practical base for Mumbai, Alibaug and the Rajasthan and Goa destination circuits.
