We are a Shopify Partner with home D2C specialisation. We build themes and app integrations for furniture, textile, decor and home accessory brands, covering large-image product pages with zoom, delivery estimation using pincode and SKU logic, Gokwik COD integration and subscriptions where a care or consumable category justifies them. The part of a home Shopify build that decides everything downstream is how the catalogue models physical reality. A product that ships in three boxes, needs assembly, comes in four fabrics and two sizes, and has a different lead time per fabric is not a simple variant matrix, and a theme that pretends otherwise creates a checkout that promises things fulfilment cannot deliver. We model the physical constraints first and choose apps afterwards.
Shopify home theme architecture needs product templates that differ by parcel class, since a small courier item, a large surface-freight item and a made-to-order piece each require different delivery, assembly and returns messaging. Variant pickers handle size, material and colour, reviews sit near the fold with an emphasis on installation photographs, the delivery estimate appears inline and the returns position is stated plainly. The app layer covers reviews, COD conversion, browser push, email and a logistics integration for shipment visibility. Two build decisions carry most of the risk. Dimensions, weight and parcel class belong in structured metafields, because they drive the delivery estimator, the shipping rate logic, the size filters and the structured data from one place instead of being retyped per product. And shipping rates need to be modelled per product rather than per order, since a flat national rate that works for cushions will lose money on every wardrobe and overcharge every small decor purchase, which quietly caps conversion at both ends of the catalogue.
