/ Our Approach

Scaling D2C Home brands with UGC Agency since 2017.

Home UGC converts on installation and room-transformation content. We source creators whose home aesthetics match your brand, coordinate shoots in real spaces, and produce platform-native cuts. For home D2C with longer consideration cycles, UGC that shows real installation and scale in context is materially higher-converting than studio work. The operational reality behind that sentence is that home UGC is a logistics job as much as a creative one. You are shipping a bulky item into somebody's house, it often needs assembling or hanging, and the creator's room has to actually suit the product. That makes the cost per asset higher and the monthly volume lower than fashion or beauty, and it makes casting on the space rather than on the follower count the decision that determines whether the cycle produces anything usable.

Home UGC runs at three to eight creators a month producing ten to fifteen assets, which is deliberately lower volume than fashion because each shoot is logistics-heavy and each asset has a longer useful life. Cost bands sit higher per asset for the same reason, since the creator is committing space, time and often assembly rather than filming a try-on. Product shipping and shoot coordination are the real operational overhead and we handle those end to end. Two constraints shape casting and briefing. The creator's home is effectively the set, so we screen on the space itself, meaning wall colour, natural light, room size and existing style, because a beautiful product in a mismatched room produces an asset nobody can use. And assembly is a genuine risk, since a creator left to build a piece of furniture alone will either film a frustrating experience or not film at all, so briefs specify whether assembly is in scope, and where a product needs professional installation we plan for that rather than discovering it on shoot day.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know about UGC Agency for D2C Home brands

Customer homes or creator homes?

Both. Customer homes with consent for authenticity, creator homes for repeatable production.

Product retention?

Large-ticket products typically retained as compensation component; small items usually shipped back.

Shoot logistics?

We handle end-to-end - shipping, scheduling, brief, raw review.

Usage rights?

Contracted explicit for ad use; base brand-content rights separate.

How do you cast a creator when their home is the set?

We screen the space before we screen the audience, which is the opposite of how creator casting normally works. Wall colour, natural light, room dimensions, flooring and the existing furniture all determine whether your product will look right on camera, so we ask for room photographs during shortlisting rather than relying on a feed that shows only the best corner. A creator with a modest following and a well-lit room that suits your aesthetic will produce a more usable asset than a larger creator whose home fights the product. Skipping this step is the single most common reason a home UGC cycle delivers footage nobody can run.

Who assembles the furniture for the shoot?

Decide it in the brief, because leaving it unstated is how a shoot day turns into a complaint. For flat-pack items that a person can genuinely build alone, assembly can be part of the brief and is often good content in itself if the process is honestly easy. For anything needing two people, tools or wall fixing, we arrange installation or send an assembler, since a creator struggling with a heavy piece either films something unusable or quietly abandons the shoot. Where the product requires professional installation, that cost belongs in the campaign budget from the start rather than appearing as a surprise mid-cycle.

What happens to the product after a home shoot?

For large or installed items it stays with the creator as part of the compensation, and the fee is set with that in mind. Shipping a sofa or a fitted light back is usually more expensive than the item is worth once it has been assembled and used, and asking a creator to uninstall something is a good way to end the relationship. Smaller decor pieces can be returned or retained depending on the deal, and either is fine as long as it is written down before the product ships. The one situation to avoid is an unstated assumption on either side, which is where most creator disputes in this category start.

Why is home UGC more expensive per asset than fashion UGC?

Because the creator is committing their home, their time and often several hours of assembly rather than filming a try-on in twenty minutes. There is also freight in both directions, coordination around delivery windows, and frequently a retained product of real value. The per-asset cost is genuinely higher and the monthly volume genuinely lower, and any agency quoting fashion-style volumes at fashion-style rates for furniture has not run the logistics. The compensating factor is that home assets age far more slowly, so a strong room transformation keeps performing for months where a fashion try-on fatigues in weeks.
